Jeffrey Paul Myers of Granville, Licking, Ohio, USA is using this blog format to lay out his Family Tree. He has been working on this project on and off for ten or twelve years… originally during summer vacation [from his high school mathematics teaching job] and now whenever he feels like it! This tree was originally all about ANCESTORS but gradually other individuals have found their way into the tree. While it would be somewhat interesting to chart EVERYONE I think I’m connected to, this would be 200,000+ people and that is rather overwhelming! Of course, we’re all cousins anyhow… The biologists have pretty well proven that we all descend from one particular female, whimsically named Mitochondrial ‘Eve.’ So let’s see. Six billions current Earth inhabitants plus all ancestors. I think I’ll just stick with my eclectic combination.
This current tree will be filled in slowly and will focus on Jeff’s direct ancestors first. This project was started in August 2009. Maybe it’ll be done in time for Jeff’s first Census. [The 1950 Census should be published in about 2022.
