HELP!

This is the “Help Page.” To find someone in this Family Tree, enter a surname or any other word(s) in the Search Box at the  right.  NOTE: a blog like this is generally a sequence of postings listed in reverse chronological order, so that you can easily find the most recent post. Here, though, the dates on the individual postings mean nothing at all other than reporting the date of last modification.

Once you’ve begun searching and are looking at someone’s Fact Sheet, any other names which are highlighted can be clicked and you will be transported to that individual’s Fact Sheet

At first, this will be mostly or entirely about my ANCESTORS: my  grandparents, their parents, their parents, etc. … as far back as I have been able to investigate. As of mid-2009, that’s about 150 people. My goal has always been to solve the various mysteries which naturally arise, like “well then, who were THEIR parents?” or “what genetic diseases are in our bloodline?” The goal has not been to make myself feel superior by “hooking myself onto” someone famous or powerful. I admit, however, that connecting with John Throckmorton — who appears in many books about Pilgrim-era religious reformer Roger Williams — was fairly exciting. Not that the lives of the other 159 known ancestors were less valuable or interesting… just less well documented!

Eventually, the main Fact Sheet for each person will list parents, children, a timeline of facts in that person’s lifetime, and any assorted stories — including the sorts of genealogical investigations which were required to unearth the various facts.

If you have comments or questions, please contribute them to the project. Anyone may do so.
